Canyon County’s 43 coaches earned an average salary of $38,213 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the second lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Idaho post-secondary schools during 2022.

Canyon County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Northwest Nazarene University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $47,693.

Male coaches of men's teams received $42,986 on average in Canyon County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $37,506.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
