The Utah Utes, featuring former Middleton High School standout Ian Lenius, secured an 8-5 win over the Washington State Cougars in their NCAA Division I baseball contest on Tuesday, March 17, at 4 p.m.

The matchup was held at Smith’s Ballpark and marked the first meeting of the season between Utah and Washington State.

Lenius contributed 0.1 innings on the mound.

Up next, the Utes will face the Cincinnati Bearcats at UC Baseball Stadium on Friday, March 20.
