The Boise Districting Commission is set to hold its first meeting next Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers. The Commission will choose a Chair and Vice-Chair, adopt a schedule for additional meetings and receive staff briefings on process, rules of order and current census data.
Commissioners Micki Love, Quinn Perry, Kathy Peter, Travis Spiker and Carolina Valderrama Echavarria spent the weeks following their confirmation becoming familiar with legal requirements. The Commission meetings will be live streamed on the City of Boise’s YouTube channel.
Commissioners are five City of Boise residents who are eligible to vote and represent a cross section of the community. Commissioners will serve until the City Clerk’s filing of the Commission’s Boise Districting Plan with the County Clerk at which time the Commission automatically dissolves.
Updates on Commission meetings, opportunities for community input and maps will be available on the city website.
