Bpd Stages Car Crash To Show Dangers Of Impaired Or Distracted Driving

Every summer, first responders see an increase in the number of car crashes due to impaired or distracted driving. So far this summer, 47 people have died on Idaho roads, with seven of those fatalities happening in the last two weeks.

As we reach the middle of the “100 deadliest days of summer” Boise Police, Idaho State Police and the Idaho Transportation Department crashed some old cars donated by B and W Towing to help demonstrate what can happen when drivers make dangerous decisions. It also showed just how important it is to wear your seatbelts properly. So, before you hit the road this summer, remember to buckle up, slow down, ignore distractions you may have inside of your vehicle, and keep your attention on the road.
