Gem County ranked 36th in Idaho for resident earnings in 2019

Gem County ranked 36th among counties in Idaho by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Gem County residents was $22,739 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 6,683 households with a population of 17,331.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Teton County with $33,984 per year after adjusting for inflation – $11,245 more than Gem County. It had 3,707 households with a population of 11,426.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Madison County with $12,911 per year after adjusting for inflation – $9,828 less than Gem County. It had 11,016 households with a population of 39,100.
