Cost of college went up for all students at Northwest Nazarene University

Tuition and fees rose 2.8 percent for 2018-19 at Northwest Nazarene University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Idaho students paid $29,800 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $800 more than the $29,000 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 270 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.4 million and 184 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,201), 1,226 students used grants or scholarships totaling $23.1 million, and 885 students took out $6.5 million in federal student loans.
