Sheriff Kieran Donahue and the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office held the 14th annual Canyon County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony on May 15 at The Center at the Canyon County Fair. The event took place during National Police Week and honored Idaho’s fallen law enforcement officers.

The ceremony paid tribute to 77 Idaho law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Local officials, families, and community members gathered to remember those who lost their lives while serving their communities.

Sheriff Donahue led the ceremony, which has become an annual tradition in Canyon County. The memorial is intended to recognize both past sacrifices and ongoing service by law enforcement personnel across Idaho.

National Police Week is observed each year as a time for communities across the country to honor police officers who have died in service. Events like the one in Canyon County provide an opportunity for public reflection and support for local law enforcement agencies.

The ceremony concluded with moments of silence and remembrance for all fallen officers from Idaho.
